In this Burger King advertisement, it is trying to tell the audience that a whopper from Burger King is a lot more better than a big mac from Mcdonalds. In reality none of these two burgers are good for us. Honestly a burger in general is unhealthy and neither a whopper or a big mac is better for us to eat. However, if you do not want to look at the advertisement in that way then you can use your personal experience to use your best judgement whether or not a whopper is better or a big mac. I do not think the advertisement is targeting people that care about what they eat or people who watch what they eat. Therefore, I think the claim of the advertisement which is, “Silly Whopper, that’s a big mac box,” is a false claim because it does not matter where the burger is from, it matters how bad and unhealthy it is for a person.

I agree with that the advertisement between Burger King’s Whopper and McDonald’s Big Mac is a false claim. You are right. It doesn’t matter where the burger is from, but it matters if it is good for you to eat. All burgers from fast food chains are the same, they are unhealthy, cost within the same price range, and taste about the same. Burger King can advertise as much as they want about how their Whopper is better than McDonald’s Big Mac, but in the end, I agree that both are considered bad. Therefore, the advertisement is a false claim.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with you that the claim in the advertisement for Burger King's whopper is better than the McDonald's Big mac is a false claim. It is hard for me to pick one, but if I did I would pick the McDonald's Big Mac. The Big Mac is much tastier and is bigger than the normal sized whopper. Although, I do like the whopper also, because the whopper is much healthier than the Big Mac. I sometimes like to switch things up and go for the whopper, but that's only if I get tired of getting the Big Mac.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you. It is obvious that Big Mac’s and Whopper’s are totally unhealthy for anyone. I have never really liked fast food, but I guess that is a good thing. I think it is funny how they are arguing over which is better. I like how Burger King is mocking the Big Mac though as they are comparing the size. At least it is amusing. If I did enjoy fast food, I would probably follow the advertisement because it is bigger. On the other hand, bigger is not always better. Therefore, I agree with you again as you must rely on personal experience to justify the claim.
