what i found interesting....

The part that i found to be the most interesting and helpful section in chapter 15 was the topic of causes and effects. I enjoyed the examples that the book used because it helped me understand what causes and effects exactly are. I also liked the fact that there were questions about the examples as well because it helped me understand the examples too. In chapter 15 i also enjoyed the fact that there were illustrations in the book that could help me and probably the whole class understand what the topics were in this chapter. I liked how the chapter offered so many examples about causes and effects because not everyone is very clear on what causes and effects are used for. The chapter helps people gain a better understanding about that certain topic. When the chapter covered how to look for the cause it amazed me a lot because it is obviously important to know what a cause and effect is and yet it is also important to learn how exactly you can look for the cause and that is why I thought it was very important and interesting.

  1. I also found the topic of causes and effects very useful in chapter 15. I think that everything in this chapter was useful to me, but if I had to choose one concept I would have to say it was the same one you had chosen. The examples did come in handy because it provided a better understanding for us students. I have to agree that the illustrations were helpful as well. It made reading this chapter for me more interesting. I have to say, the illustrations were really adorable. I find that examples with illustrations more useful than just text because I learn better when I see pictures as opposed to just looking at words, words, and more words.

  2. The pictures helped me out a lot. Most definitely! I don't care who says that since we are college students we cannot have pictures in our literature. It was definitely a great way of understanding the concept of cause and effect. The thing that most stood out in this chapter was the part of you cannot have an effect without a cause. And the example that they used were about spot and dick which was very simple and easy to understand which made the concept easy to understand as well. This chapter is by far one of the ones that stood out in my head. Maybe because of the pictures? haha

  3. I totally agree with you, that section of chapter 15 is very important for it is the cause and effect is an explanation of how a person comes to make a statement or argument. The examples used in the book are very good and make the concepts easy to understand. I think this section of the book combined with the first website that we were to blog about mix to give us a concrete understanding of cause and effect and how it works. This is true at least in the short term. Understanding cause and effect is crucial for preparing a good argument on a consistent basis.
